MINCEMEAT OR TENSPEED "Waiting for Surfin' Bird" LP
Mincemeat or Tenspeed was started in 2005. The project used rhythmic melodic compositions made from feedback loops, in order to fake music that would more aptly be made using synths and sequencers. In the current form of the project, Mincemeat or Tenspeed uses synths and sequencers, in an attempt to fake rhythmic melodic compositions more aptly made using feedback loops.
"Waiting for Surfin' Bird" represents the first Mincemeat or Tenspeed LP with this new "real instruments" approach. But fear not, there is noise aplenty here too. Like previous recordings, "Waiting for Surfin' Bird" is covered in layers of fractal-like sonic textures that reveal new detail the more closely you listen. The album cover features fantastic artwork by Providence underground comics star Mickey Zacchilli.
